KDB Bank Európa Zrt. Privacy and Data Security Policy

KDB Bank Európa Zrt. (the “Bank”) is committed to protecting the personal data of its Clients and other data subjects, as well as to developing, operating, and applying a regulatory, implementation, and control system that ensures the preservation and protection of banking secrecy, securities secrecy, and personal data in accordance with applicable laws and its fundamental business interests.
 
In compliance with the applicable legislation, the Bank ensures the protection not only of personal data, but also, among others, of banking, securities, insurance, payment, and business secrets, as well as all other confidential information protected by law. In the course of processing personal data, the Bank respects the principles of data processing and seeks to ensure that:
  • personal data are processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject;
  • personal data are collected only for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes and are not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes;
  • the personal data processed are adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed;
  • the personal data processed are accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date;
  • personal data are stored in a form that permits identification of data subjects only for as long as necessary for the purposes of the processing;
  • appropriate technical and organizational measures are applied to ensure adequate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.
 
The framework for the protection of personal data is determined in particular, but not exclusively, by the following legislation:
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on he protection of natural persons with regard to he processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the so-called General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR);
  • Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information (Infotv.);
  • Act CCXXXVII of 2013 on Credit Institutions and Financial Enterprises (Hpt.);
  • Act CXXXVIII of 2007 on Investment Firms and Commodity Exchange Service Providers and on he Rules of Their Activities (Bszt.);
  • Act CXX of 2001 on the Capital Market (Tpt.);
  • other Hungarian legislation applicable to  the Bank’s activities and binding legal acts of the European Union.

In the event of a violation of your right to the protection of personal data, you may also lodge a complaint or seek legal remedy with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (registered office: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa street 9–11; mailing address: 1363 Budapest, P.O. Box 9; telephone: +36-1-391-1400; fax: +36-1-391-1410; e-mail: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu). You are also entitled to initiate court proceedings if you believe that your data protection rights have been infringed. The lawsuit may be brought before the competent court having jurisdiction either at the registered office of the defendant or, at your choice, at the court competent for your place of residence or stay.
